Make your Zine

Cry Baby…

It’s the summer holiday and I got my rookie mag newsletter with a list of things to do so I began ticking off a list of things to do and then came up create your own zine.

I’ve heard about “zines” before. When you think of this publication style, the first thing that comes to mind is culture and self-expressive. I’ve always wanted to create my own zine, but I never really got what it meant to put it into action.

I get out of bed and the sun hasn’t even risen and I’ve got all these ideas running in my head of what I want to do. But first I’ve got to read as much as I can what are the rules what’s the plan, I need all the text books and get it just right. I click through my link on Rookie and that’s when I realized what a zine is.

This is a piece of art in its own right, It says what I want it to say. I find myself shearing things and saying things in a textual way that’s self-expressive and that’s something we have less of in our Modern culture.

We’re in such a fast paced world, it’s nice to have something that’s special that’s crafted to be filled with things that speak your truths and evoke something within you. If you’ve got the time I would highly say create a zine for yourself and your friends and share it about it doesn’t have to be perfect because perfection isn’t what a zine is it’s about you and what you have to say.

If you’ve got something important to say and believe in than  maybe this could be your little start and if you just want to have fun creating something that has sentimental value then Run forest Run with it and don’t look back.”
